Easter

This is a tiny Easter floral arrangement I made for on top of our china cabinet.

Easy, peasy.  I took three square glass vases purchased at the Dollar Tree, cut a burlap potato bag into strips and wrapped the strips around the vase.  I used a pretty brown ribbon I had in my sewing box to tie the burlap in place and voila.  Grants Independent in Hanover had a variety of daisies for sale that I could not resist.

Twisted Sisters Broomball

I have donated this chalk board to the Mildmay Twisted Sisters Juvenile Broomball team.

They are having a Roast Beef Dinner & Silent Auction on Sunday March 24, 2013 at Mildmay-Carrick Arena.  Serving is from 4-8pm.  The meal will be wonderful (home made pie!) and all monies raised go to the team.  They are in the Nationals in Cornwall, Ontario, the 1st week of April.

Tickets are still available.

This is a shabby chic, warm white chalk board.

There is a small tray to hold chalk.

Another Cabinet almost finished

This is another china cabinet turned storage.  I painted this cabinet a warm white with a shabby chic look.  Dan built the doors, but we haven't hung them yet.  Someone is interested in the cabinet, but not sure about doors.  I think they want it for a display unit in their gallery.

This is a before photo.  There was veneer missing in the front and some had to be re-glued.  The side panels are gone now and the whole piece has been sanded, primed, painted, sanded and waxed.

I love the simple lines of this cabinet.

She still has her original hardware

Albert Waiting for Spring

Sitting in the Sun

We can't see him hiding on the kitchen island

I am starting a new project even though I have some "unfinished business"
in the basement.  This is such a cute cabinet.  I cannot wait to see how it turns out.

Saturday, 2 March 2013

I sold a cabinet today, loaded it onto a truck and said good bye.  Things were getting a bit crowded in the house.  I confess that I still have 5 cabinets in the house, although 1 is sold!

I just completed this cabinet, or should I say Dan did.  Dan manufactures and hangs the new doors for me.

This cabinet is a soft yellow with stipple glass

PETITE ROCKING CHAIR

Small rocking chair-I transferred 4 bunny faces along the back.  This chair is stronger than it looks-it holds my weight!

ANOTHER CHAIR RESCUED

This is my latest project; I just have to find the perfect material.

The chair is sturdy and did not need to be glued.  The springs had broken through, so the seat had a lot of "give".

Pretty little chair
Almost done.  I just have to find the perfect fabric
