I almost have this dresser drawer finished. It matches the tall four door model (sounds like a car) that I posted earlier in the week.
This is a quality made Knechtel dresser. The doors tell it all. They are all wood and still work as well as the day they were made.

I just love this "mid century modern" dresser.
This is a quality built Knechtel dresser made in Hanover Ontario. The cabinet is all wood, no particle board to be found. The drawer fronts are curved adding contrast to the straight lines of the body. I painted the legs black to add interest. The hardware echoes the curved shape of the drawers and straight lines of the frame.
This is a beautiful, timeless dresser.
$225.
What Fabric Should I Use?
What fabric should I choose?
Now I am ready to upholster them....I like the multi-colour stripe.
These are Strathroy Furniture chairs. They are very, very sturdy and in excellent condition. The six chairs (one is an armchair) are painted with Benjamin Moore Aura Semi Lustre-a WONDERFUL paint. I have left them sitting for a month to let the paint cure to a hard finish.

Modern Knechtel Dresser
As soon as I saw this solid wood Knechtel bedroom suite I knew I wanted to buy it. Happily Dan could see the "good bones" too. I had just brought a full dining room set (table, chairs, buffet & china cabinet) home the day before!
Watermarks to sand away |
Varnish is worn off and missing in areas |
I could see this as dark grey with black feet |
I like the original hardware, but want to update the look |
Dan had to drill new holes for the handles |
What a difference new hardware can make Just like new jewelry!! |
Almost complete |
