This mid century modern dresser has a"waterfall" front and original hardware.  The seashell handles are a warm opaque pink and beige over brass.

The dresser is painted a soft green.

Repurposed Cabinet

I just completed this china cabinet.  Once again we removed the side panels and made two doors to replace the single door opening.  I painted this cabinet a warm white and lightly sanded to distress.  I then waxed the cabinet.   The front doors are a glue chip.

 This cabinet is 38 inches wide measuring from the widest (cabinet top), it is 14 inches deep and 65 1/2 inches at the tallest section.

All the hardware is original to the cabinet.

Refinished Dresser

Although I do prefer to paint furniture, a friend asked me to refinish this little 3 drawer dresser.

As usual, I got into the project before taking any photos so I have no 'before' pictures to share.

The dresser was stained a VERY dark brown and the hardware was in really rough shape.  A lot of sanding, polishing and voila.

I am pleased with the results.  I hope the owner is too!

I have been busy all summer, but am getting back to work!

Refurbished China Cabinet

I just completed another china cabinet "conversion".  We removed the side panels, replaced the single door and installed two doors. This opens the cabinet for easier access.

 As is my habit I never took a before photo.  This cabinet is the exact duplicate of another cabinet I refinished.

Muskoka Chairs

A friend gave me 4 Muskoka chairs that were in very bad shape.  We took them apart, scraped off the old paint, washed the wood with water and bleach, sealed with Zinsser primer (laquer based) and reassembled.  Every screw had to be replaced and parts traded between chairs.  Of the 4 chairs there are only 3 left.  I painted them in warm summer colours (yellow, blue & green) and sealed them with an exterior water based varnish.

Ready for Summer

Spent the long week-end planting my flowers and cleaning the flower beds.  I am done!  I am not going to buy any more plants.  We went the to greenhouse in Elmwood on Saturday.  I have been going there for years, and have always had good luck with their plants.  The window boxes and baskets are all done.  Next week-end we will get the garden in.  New roof going on this week.
